bwaha it's a SPACE TURTAL (some website said that Chelonia is the latin name for the turtle family or something, and I believed it) which I've spent A MILLENIA doing because I never really found the inspiration after I finished the head..heh. Butanyways, it was HUGE so I made it into a wallpaper. ENJOY!

(oh and I kudos to Vicar for helping me come up with the idea or something :P)

The turtle itself is completely awesome, especially the head. The background, however, isn't too great... But I don't blame you there. Drawing backgrounds sucks.

This is definitely being added to my favorites.

Aaaaah! Ooooh!... it looks so wise, ancient, full of wisdom. That glow underneath, the yellow color, is WICKED. Making the feathered tips of it's fins look translucent like that was a good idea, and it's done very convincingly.

That's a nice background that you had made, too. The asteroid cluster belt was a splendid touch of creativity, this gives the picture something extra to feast your eyes on, even tho we know that the main attraction here is Chelonia.
I've made a starry sky like that before, I'd found a neat tutorial on it. That makes me think now, about why I haven't made another one after having only created one to see if I could or not, they're very cool. What is the vaporous substance there behind of Chelonia? I'm thinking that it's maybe some kind of nebula, but it also seems like the creature is emerging from the mist, too.

You with the sad eyes
Don't be discouraged
Oh i realize
It's hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness, inside you
Can make you feel so small

That is awesome, I really like the lighting and all the details on it. It reminds me of Farscape.
:iconreppy:
oh wow.. for some reason the creature reminds me of Treasure Planet! and i adore the background, as well as the turtle, definitely. you've blossomed so much in your art it makes me jealous. XD er.. not in a malicious way, mind.
:icontanika:
Lovely! Lol I hope you don't get mad, but it reminds me of that turdle guy from the godzilla movies. XD It's just the first thing that came to mind. Though yours is a LOT better. Great detail job!

I see that this picture has gotten VERY LITTLE comments and a hell of TOO LITTLE than it deserves, WHATS GOING ON!? It DESERVES SO MUCH MORE COMMENTS!

This picture is in every way psalutely beautiful, it gives you a sense of being with the tutrle as if your in some kind of space craft and flying past it as it notices the tiny odd looking object near it and turns only a lazy eye to investigate, I just think this picture is wonderful and this comment doesnt give it its true justice (omg I sound like im sucking up - :p just ignore :p )

Anyways, well freakin done!!!!!
